LaTorshia James, the owner of Harper Grace Counseling, has a master’s degree in forensic psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and addiction studies from Western Michigan University. She has completed extensive training at several agencies, gaining experience with a variety of clients. She is also a member of the Gender Affirming Collaborative Coalition of Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago.

Over the years, LaTorshia has worked with people from a range of backgrounds with varying goals and needs. She has an extensive background in trauma work with experience in hospital, community, criminal justice and advocacy settings. No matter what challenges they face, she believes that everyone holds the key to their own healing. By providing a safe space for growth and personalized support, she guides clients on their unique journeys to inner strength and peace.
